About the JAZZ PO POLSKU “Around the World” Project
The JAZZ PO POLSKU “Around the World” project began in May 2023 as an international concert tour, during which Polish artists perform in distant corners of the world, promoting original music. It is inspired by the achievements of Polish traveler Paweł Edmund Strzelecki, who in the mid-19th century became the first Pole to circumnavigate the globe. So far, more than 230 events have taken place in 25 countries across 3 continents. As part of this year’s edition, Polish artists will perform in 15 countries across Asia, North America, and Europe.
The JAZZ PO POLSKU Foundation is a non-governmental organization presenting the broad spectrum of possibilities of young-generation Polish artists. It supports international cultural cooperation and integrates artistic communities from many countries. The foundation aims to refresh and strengthen the image of Polish jazz among international audiences. Since 2012, more than 500 events have taken place in 25 countries under the JAZZ PO POLSKU banner, featuring over 200 musicians. The foundation also organizes concerts in Poland featuring both Polish and international artists.
