JAZZ PO POLSKU „Around the World” is a project promoting Polish jazz internationally by organizing concert tours of various music projects. It was launched in May 2023 and has since brought over 170 events in 21 countries, with over 100 musicians performing therein. It is inspired by the feats of a Polish traveler, Paweł Edmund Strzelecki, who was the first Pole to circumnavigate the World in the 1800s (his voyage took place between 1834 and 1843 and included extensive geological and geographical research which had its part in today’s state of knowledge about the World).
This year’s edition is titled JAZZ PO POLSKU „Around the World/Destination: Asia” and marks the first decade of the presence of Polish jazz musicians under the JAZZ PO POLSKU label on the Asian market. Since 2014 the JAZZ PO POLSKU concert tours have gathered over 400 shows in 11 Asian countries.
„The goal of this project is to show the most gifted Polish jazzmen of the younger generation in the largest metropolises in Asia – Beijing, Chongqing, Hong Kong, Lahore, New Delhi, Mumbai, Tokyo, Seoul, Shanghai and many more. The project promotes the „Polish jazz school” that dates back to the interwar period after which it developed in post-war times and has kept on living thanks to younger generation of Polish artists” – says Jakub Krzeszowski, JAZZ PO POLSKU Founder.

The JAZZ PO POLSKU „Around the World/Destination Asia” Project is carried out by the JAZZ PO POLSKU Foundation and is financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, specifically from the Culture Promotion Fund. Its partners include Polish Institutes in Beijing, Tokyo and New Delhi, as well as Polish Embassies in Islamabad and Seoul, as well as Consulates General of Poland in Hong Kong, Canton and Shanghai. Polish Air Lines (LOT) is the logistic partner. Ministry of Foreign Affairs is the honorary patron. The list of media patrons includes: Dwóka Polish Radio, Warsaw Insider, Jazz Forum Magazine, Jazz Press.
